Blueberry Orange ‘Spa’ Infused Water.
Handful of wild blueberries
2 Mandarin oranges
½ cup mangoes, cubed
Apple Cider Vinegar Spiced Tea Tonic.
2 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
2 tablespoon lemon juice
½ -1 teaspoon ground ginger
¼ teaspoon cinnamon
Pinch cayenne pepper
Pinch turmeric
1 teaspoon raw, local honey (optional)
Licorice Root Soothing Spa Tea Tonic.
1 ¼ cup cut/sifted licorice root
1 cup dried peppermint
1/8 cup fennel
1/8 cup dried sweet basil
Probiotic Berry Peanut Butter Smoothie.
2 cups frozen wild blueberries
1 cup organic Kefir (fermented milk product)
3 tablespoons organic peanut butter
2 tablespoons ground flax seed
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Pinch turmeric
Raw, unpasteurized honey or your favourite sweetener, to taste (if needed)
Taste of Japan Miso Soup.
1 (4 inch) piece dashi kombu (dried kelp)
1/2 cup chopped sturdy green such as chard or kale
¼ cup tofu, cut into chunks (only if fermented and non-GMO)
1 teaspoon dried wakame (dried seaweed)
½ cup shitake mushrooms, sliced
3-4 tablespoons miso paste paste
½ cup green onions, finely sliced
Apple-Spice Sauerkraut from ‘Scratch’.
1 purple cabbage, shredded
3 Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, shredded (or your favourite)
1 tablespoon ginger, grated
1 teaspoon cinnamon
¼ teaspoon caraway seeds
Pinch whole black peppercorns
Taste of Japan Seaweed Salad.
50g dried wakame seaweed (whole or cut)
3 tablespoons unseasoned rice vinegar or mirin (sweet rice wine)
3 tablespoons soy sauce or tamari (GF)
1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
1 teaspoon coconut palm sugar
1 pinch red pepper flakes
1 teaspoon finely grated ginger
½ teaspoon minced garlic
2 spring onions, thinly sliced
¼ cup carrot, finely diced
2 tablespoons cilantro, coarsely chopped
1 tablespoon sesame seeds, toasted
Fab Fresh Fruit Salad.
1 red apple, cored and chopped
1 green Granny Smith apple, cored and chopped
1 nectarine, pitted and sliced
1 mango, cubed
½ cup cherries, quartered
1 cup papaya, cubed
2 stalks celery, finely diced
½ cup dried cranberries
½ cup chopped walnuts
1 ½ cups organic Kefir (fermented milk product)
2 teaspoons lemon zest
