GOURMET LOVE
“Spreading the love, one recipe at a time!”
The back-story that inspired the menu that inspired the recipes! Foodie and Love stories combining love, romance, and adventure (remember this is all fiction my friends)! Let me take my paintbrush, paint the scene and the mood to take you there…

Valentines Day ‘Kit’:
Our Menu is fancy enough, but not too fancy so that you’ll have time to spend together (and if you’re brand new ‘Valentines’ this year it won’t seem as though you’re really stretching to impress)! See, we think of everything when it comes to love and romance. You’ll find everything you need in our hopelessly romantic Valentines Day Kit:
- 5-Course Menu of Love with Main Course Video Demo
- Signature Cocktail: Love Potion Number 2016
- Red Wine Recos: Decadent wines – Burgundy, Bordeaux, Sauternes – all pretty sexy stuff. Wine pairings are good because you just might end up drinking more…and, as we all know, drinking is always conducive to romance. Remember to put your keys on ‘ice’ for tonight!
- Valentines Day Music Playlist
- Ambiance Recos: A centerpiece with red roses is always nice, as are candles to provide a soft, sexy glow.
- Movie Reco: Chocolat (the cooking and dining scenes are incredibly sexy)!
- Virtual Fireplace: The hottest thing on television, the best time to watch this is on Valentines Day under a warm blanket with your love! The ending is a cliff-hanger…the wood burns (spoiler alert)! Warning, don’t touch the screen!
LOVE DATELINE: MEMORABLE
Where: Your place
When: Valentines Day
Mood: Romance hangs in the air
Emotion: Can you say Joy?!
Inspiration for the Menu
These well-researched and documented tips inspired today’s perfect Valentine’s Day Menu, read them over, commit them to memory and you’re ‘good to go’! Tonight’s Menu is perfectly designed; we’ve got your back, as we know the rules by heart.
Recipe to Set the Valentines Day Stage to Impress:
Ingredient #1: The way to a man’s heart is through his stomach (mind you, if the chemistry is hot, he shouldn’t care about the food at all)! One caveat–when you cook a couple of great meals–they will expect it forever. I hope you like to cook:)
Ingredient # 2: First Valentines Day together? Go easy on the decor if this is the case. The soft lighting, the mood music, the red rose centrepiece, the candles with a soft sexy glow – all great ideas if you have been seeing this person for a while. If not, it screams, “I’ve subscribed to ‘Bride-To-Be’ magazine and I have the baby name picked out!” If this is a new man in your life, going overboard also sends a signal that you think you’ve gotta earn him…and you don’t…never. Maybe let HIM bring the flowers!
Ingredient # 3: Most guys like meat ‘n potatoes, fancier dishes don’t go over as well as something simple, yet tasteful with good ingredients. Remember, tonight, the company is more important than the food!
Ingredient # 4: Don’t try anything overly complicated (you want to enjoy this evening) and don’t worry about a trial run. If something goes wrong, just laugh it off and let him see you are human and you know how to roll with life’s flow!
Have Fun!
Ingredient # 5: Make it fun. You should both have a good time no matter where things lead in the short or long term.
Ingredient # 6: Find out what he likes to eat, and blow his socks off in that department. If he turns out to be a ‘keeper’, you’re going to want someone who responds to food similarly to the way you do. And you want to demonstrate you can serve up that wow factor.
Ingredient # 7: Oh, if your place happens to smell like freshly baked biscuits, cookies, brownies or bread as he arrives, that will score you ‘brownie’ points for sure.
Ingredient # 8: Don’t fill him up with a heavy meal, keep it fairly light, you don’t want to pass out in a ‘food coma’.
Fit for a King!
Ingredient # 9: Champagne is always a great opener to the evening. Make him feel like a king with Kir Royales – Champagne and Cassis. Or serve our magical Love Potion No. 2016 cocktail.
Ingredient # 10: Get him involved in the cooking for a little bonding. Let him man the steaks on the grill or frying pan!
Ingredient # 11: Note to self: A word of caution, some men absolutely hate it when their romantic interest feeds them using ‘her’ fork or spoon (no matter how romantic she might think it is). Forewarned is forearmed with utensils!
Apron Strings!
Ingredient # 12: If you really want to cook something that will woo him, try this…wear an apron with nothing but a smile (and that will take care of that…kidding). Unless you want to enjoy the meal first…at least until dessert and then have him begging for more on his knees.
Ingredient # 13: Cook anything that involves a flame – a little danger goes a long way and gets the pulse going (if you know what I mean)!
Ingredient # 14: Serve a cinnamon-based dessert, cinnamon is apparently the most erotic scent for men! But of course our Creme Brulee dessert has cinnamon in it (see, we do think of everything)!
Ingredient # 15: Watch a movie together – not a chick flick, not an action flick, maybe a romantic comedy. Chocolat is a delicious film with an incredible dining scene…you’ll see what I mean when you watch it! Oh and it doesn’t hurt to have Johnny Depp in the film either!
Final Ingredient: Have a wonderful time, have tons of fun…don’t forget the wine (and maybe lingerie), it makes everything better.
Food nourishes your soul, you are so worth being loved heart and soul. Enjoy!
