Balanced Asparagus with Lemon Walnut Butter.

This unique asparagus dish is not only quick and delicious, it’s nutritious and good for your blood sugar levels! Research has shown that asparagus may keep diabetes at bay by helping blood sugar levels stay under control while boosting output of insulin. Cinnamon is also very helpful for balancing blood sugar levels.

 ¼ cup unsalted organic grass-fed butter (or non-dairy alternative)
 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
 ½ teaspoon raw, unpasteurized honey, or use Stevia to taste
 Himalayan salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
 ½ teaspoon True Ceylon cinnamon
 ¼ cup walnuts, coarsely chopped, toasted
 1 bunch asparagus
 A splash of love

Melt butter, stir in lemon juice, sweetener, salt, pepper and cinnamon until blended. Dry roast walnuts on a small skillet and watch closely! Then add toasted walnuts to the butter. Steam asparagus until 'al dente' and drizzle lemon walnut butter over top. Enjoy!
