Tranquilizing Cat’s Claw (Una de Gato) Chai Tea Tonic.

Yields1 ServingPrep Time5 mins

Cat's claw is said to be excellent for inflammation, MS, UTI’s, anti-bacterial, anti-viral, parasites, digestion, sleep, brain health, anxiety (avoid if pregnant or trying to conceive). Cat’s claw is native to the Amazon rainforest and other areas of Central and South America. The tea flavour is slightly bitter, woody (makes sense, it comes from the bark and root of a woody vine), but it also has nice chai tea overtones.

 1 cup water
Fresh lemon juice, a few drops
1-2 teaspoons Cat’s claw ground powder (or 2 average-sized pieces bark)
 Raw, unpasteurized honey, to taste
