Beautiful You Matcha Green Tea Ice Cream.
This is a delicious, nutritious DIY ice cream! Matcha green tea is brimming with powerful antioxidants and anti-aging properties. This ice cream is simple to make, worth the elbow grease and time because its absolutely delicious!!
In a saucepan, whisk the green tea powder, honey, and egg yolks together. Add 1 cup warmed combined coconut cream + almond milk slowly, whisking vigorously.
Heat the mixture, adding the remaining coconut cream + almond milk slowly over low heat. When the mixture is thickened enough to coat the back of a spoon and is starting to foam, remove from heat.
Pour the mixture into a large metal bowl and place the bowl in a larger bowl filled with ice. Stir once in awhile until mixture is cold, then place mixture in the freezer for about 20 minutes 20 Minutes.
Take it out and whisk, if any ice cream has frozen along the side of the bowl, whisk into the rest of the mixture. Do this as quickly as possible and return bowl to the freezer.
Repeat this – whisking the mixture every 20 minutes 20 Minutes until the mixture is frozen. The mixture will eventually freeze enough (promise) to be more or less a soft-serve ice cream texture. Enjoy the fruits of your labour…you will!
