“Naughty But Spiced” Molton Lava Chocolate Cakes

The connection between sex and chocolate is more than just a marketing gimmick. Chocolate is a source of quick energy and elevates moods because it contains stimulants that can make us feel good!

 4 semi-sweet baking chocolate squares (one ounce per square)
 ½ cup butter (salted or unsalted, your call)
 1 tablespoon red wine (nothing but the best)
 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
 1 cup icing sugar
 2 eggs
 1 egg yolk
 6 tablespoons flour
 ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
 ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
 Tiny pinch ground nutmeg
 Pinch sea salt

Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.

Butter 4 ramekins or soufflé dishes (typically 6 ounces in size) or one large baking dish, place buttered dishes onto baking sheet. Tip: Always keep your butter papers in the freezer and use them for occasions just like this!

Melt chocolate and butter in a large bowl overtop of boiling water in a sauce pan on your stovetop or in a microwave on high for 1 minute 1 Minute until butter is melted. Whisk until chocolate is completely melted.

Stir in wine, vanilla and sugar until well blended. Whisk in eggs and yolk and then stir in remaining ingredients. Spoon evenly into prepared dishes.

Bake for about 8-10 minutes 8 Minutes or until sides are firm but centres are soft. Let stand 1 minute 1 Minute. Loosen edges with knife, invert onto serving plate and sprinkle with icing sugar (if desired). And then enjoy with your love!
