Counting Sheep DIY Passion Flower Tincture.
Passion Flower can help to promote a restful night’s sleep and may also reduce stress and anxiety with its sedative and calming properties. This tincture has a definite alcohol flavour, but its worthwhile if you want a good, restful night’s sleep. Trust me...worked for me!
Add the dried passion flower to your mason jar and ‘just’ cover with alcohol. Top up with alcohol the following day (if dry), to ‘just’ cover your passion flower. Keep in a cool dark place for one month. Shake once or twice per day (check jar to ensure that herbs are covered). Once a full month has passed, strain with a fine strainer or a coffee filter and use a funnel to pour into a dropper bottle. Typically, 1 dropper = 1 ml, I use 3-4 droppers/night for sleep.
