Veg Out Spiced Saffron Tea Tonic.
This calming tea has a very subtle taste of saffron, but a big taste of spices (without overdoing it). It's deliciously warming and soothing. Cheers!

1 cup filtered water
1 teaspoon cinnamon
4 cardamom pods
4 whole cloves or pinch ground cloves
Pinch saffron
Pinch turmeric
Pinch ground black pepper
1 cup coconut or almond milk
1 teaspoon raw, unpasteurized honey, to taste
Pinch Himalayan sea salt

Gently heat water, cinnamon, cardamom and cloves in a saucepan for 5 minutes 5 Minutes.

Remove from heat, add saffron and steep 10 minutes 10 Minutes. Add the turmeric, black pepper, milk and honey, heat gently without boiling for 2 minutes 2 Minutes.

Steep 15-20 minutes 15 Minutes, strain, pour into your mugs, dust with cinnamon and zen out!
