Kick Back St. John’s wort Herbal Tea Tonic.
St. John's Wort has been traditionally used and studies have shown that it may also be (darn) good for relaxation, to de-stress, soothing depression, a nervous system tonic, improves mood and enhances cheer…and who doesn’t want that! Drink up to 2 cups throughout the day and let the sun shine in!! The flavour is slightly ‘barky,’ not that I go around licking trees…but that’s the best way I can describe it!
Bring water to a boil, add St. John’s wort and cover, so that the tea releases it’s full potential!
Steep for 10 minutes 10 Minutes for a milder-tasting and less bitter infusion. For a more effective medicinal ‘brew’, steep for 30 minutes 30 Minutes .
Strain, add honey, vanilla and dust with cinnamon. Ahhh. Please be aware, St. John’s Wort may increase sensitivity to sunlight and can contradict contraception.
