Counting Sheep Chamomile Lavender Latte.

This calming, warm tea is just the thing to help unwind and relax after a long day. Chamomile tea is steeped directly in the almond milk and lightly sweetened. Add dried lavender flowers for an extra calming effect. Lavender is also used for baking, syrups, liqueurs, teas, spice blends (Herbes de Provence). Known for its strong floral scent, is sweet-tasting with a hint of citrus.

 1 cup coconut or almond milk, unsweetened
 1 tablespoon dried chamomile or 1 tea bag chamomile herbal tea
 ½ teaspoon lavender flowers, fresh or dried
 1 teaspoon raw, unpasteurized honey, to taste
 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
 Pinch true cinnamon
 Pinch Himalayan sea salt
 Dusting of nutmeg, freshly ground is best!

Place the almond milk into a small saucepan and heat until very hot, but not boiling. Add the chamomile tea and lavender flowers, steep 5 minutes 5 Minutes.

Strain chamomile and lavender buds or remove tea bag. Sweeten with honey, add vanilla extract, pinch of cinnamon and salt, dust with nutmeg and drink immediately. To create a frothy latte, pour into a blender and blend before serving. Nighty night!
