Tranquilizing Golden Milk Anti-Inflammatory Turmeric Tea Tonic.

Turmeric tea is a popular beverage throughout Asia and is known by some as “liquid gold.” Turmeric is a prized spice, the active ingredient curcumin, is one of nature's most powerful anti-inflammatory spices. This milk also works well as a sleeping aid, but feel free to drink anytime, day or night! It’s absolutely delicious, warming and I love the hint of black pepper, try it, you’ll like it, and so will your body…mmm.

Ingredients

2 cups coconut or unsweetened almond milk

½ cup filtered water

1 tablespoon turmeric (powder or grated root) – start with less and add to taste

1 tablespoon virgin coconut oil

1 tablespoon raw, unpasteurized honey

1 teaspoon Ceylon cinnamon

1 teaspoon ground cardamom

½ teaspoon chopped fresh ginger

½ teaspoon black pepper to increase absorption

Ground cinnamon (for serving)

A splash of love

Method

Pour milk and water into saucepan and warm for 2 minutes 2 Minutes. Add in turmeric, coconut oil, honey, cinnamon, cardamom, ginger and pepper stir and heat through gently. Taste and add more coconut milk if you prefer. Stir, pour into your favourite mug and drink immediately. Ahhh.
